Akhaltskha
The work presents a thorough research on the basis of factual material acquired during fieldwork and investigation in various archives. It treats the history of the villages, towns and cultural monuments of Akhaltskha (Samtskhe) District situated on the northern borderline of Historical Armenia, in the contact zone between the Republics of Armenia and Georgia. A special emphasis is laid on the Armenian lapidary inscriptions preserved in the district.
