The famous Kurdish folk romance “Zambilfrosh” is published in the Armenian language for the first time, developed by Artak Vardanyan.
?Preliminary folk versions of the poem date back to the Middle Ages. This is a story about a young handsome man selling baskets - Zambilfrosh and the young wife of the Emir, who longs for Zambilfrosh with passion. The mistress of the castle offers her love to Zambilfrosh, but he does not yield to mistress’s charm and remains committed to marital vow. The whole love knot develops around the opposition of moral conviction and passion.
